SYN was gathered in december 2004 cursing the neighbor who called the police during every repetition : « Smash Your Neighbor ! ». The band was created by Julien Gibon, Thibaut Métier and Yann Métier, it first directed towards a metal 80’s music style until Florian Legros showed up at drums. After that the musical style of SYN became more succeeded with voices thrash/hardcore, heavy and agressive guitars, and fast and more technical drum parts. This change of style led Yann Metier to leave the group at the end of the year 2005.
After the recording of a 5 track demo in April 2006, Maxime Legros joined the group as bassist. Then, SYN started to give concerts in the north of France and recorded a 7 track EP with a better sound than the other (drums were recorded in a studio).
In October 2006 Aurélien Schwalek joined the band as singer in order to improve the dynamism of SYN’s performances. Nowadays François Noblecourt from Hengeyokais Prod. is in charge of managing and booking.
