Formed in 2006, Smohalla play a kind of music which, between violence and ambient,
is based on progressive structures. The band combines influences from the mid-90s
black/death scene with a personal conception of music and a modern touch. Smohalla
recorded a first demo entitled ‘Smolensk Combustion’, released in november 2006.
With Smohalla, the Father of the Dreamers, as an emblem, the band creates a personal world
in which fantastic landscapes materialize beyond our imagination, thus opening a gate between
oniric infinity and the cold reality.
‘Nova Persei’ is a concept mini-cd based upon ‘Beyond the Wall of Sleep’ by H.P Lovecraft,
out in July 2007 on God is Myth records. This new work is composed by 6 tracks of cosmic
extreme metal, mixing black, doom, avantgarde, ambient and other experimentations.
The band is now working on new projects (first LP to come on Vendlus records, split CD..).
