Bubble Trap are a Belgian pop/rock band founded in 2002 by Lionel Baurain (Bass) and Sébastien Boutry (Keyboards and Vocals). They were joined by Gérard Hermans (Guitar) in 2003, and by Stéphane Derwidué (Drums) in 2006.
During the early years, the band set the trend for their music, playing over pre-programmed electronic beats. Thanks to the arrival of a drummer, Bubble Trap started to give more of a rock accent to their songs. Nowadays, Bubble Trap's music ranges from ballads to dynamic pop/rock.
In 2006, they released a 2-track CD single ("Jay"/"I Am Nothing") and won an award at the "Envol des Cités" contest organized by the city of Mons (Belgium). They also played at the Dour Music Festival. See pictures Comment (French)
Bubble Trap were also very busy in 2007: after playing many gigs during the first part of the year, the band started to record a first full album in September.
